Job Responsibility:

  • Drive and support the Procurement Manager Solar and BESS in all strategic initiatives towards the goal of achieving long-term partnerships with suppliers
  • Execution of RFIs, RFPs/RFQs and any necessary bid process to evaluate product options and select the right supplier for a given project or set of projects
  • Manage negotiations regarding purchase Solar and BESS supply agreements (Global Frame Agreements, Solar Supply/Warranty/O&M contracts, etc), involving as required other EDP areas
  • Compliance with EDP internal approval processes and guidelines (procurement committees, formal capex approval systems, integrity due diligences, etc)
  • Contribute to develop a close network with all Solar and BESS industry players and stakeholders having an impact on EDP Solar business, including current and potential entrant suppliers (provide strategic market intelligence)
  • Cross-functional support/interaction/relationships with other EDP areas, playing a pivotal role

Requirements:

  • 2-3+ years of relevant experience in Renewables Industry, preferably Solar or BESS in roles in Procurement, Project Management or Commercial
  • Experience with supply contract negotiation and management, contract models and industry terms and conditions
  • Experience with strategic equipment procurement tenders, and market competitive analysis
  • Competency in the development of Business Relationships
  • Very strong work-ethic, communication skills, multi-tasking abilities and innovative thinking with a focus on challenging and improving the status-quo
  • Strong analytical skills and problem-solving ability
  • Superior negotiation skills
  • Leadership skills and ability to be self-motivated
  • Strong interpersonal abilities to build and maintain good relationships with all stakeholders in a multi-cultural environment: internal EDP areas, technical experts, senior management, joint venture partners, suppliers and other stakeholders

  • Maintain records of received turbine and service bids and work with internal SMEs to generate forward-looking technology and cost projections for owner-furnished wind turbine equipment
  • Support technology assessments and reviews of existing and upcoming turbine platforms, and effectively communicate the opportunities and risks associated with each technology
  • Assist internal project and engineering teams with coordinating RFIs to equipment manufacturers
  • Assist with the project financing process, facilitating inputs from OEMs and interdisciplinary teams to independent engineering (IE) questions
