Job Description:

We are looking for a motivated, organised, and detail-oriented individual to join our supportive and professional team as a Procurement Assistant. If you enjoy working with data, suppliers, and processes, and want to play a key role in supporting the smooth operation of our Nursing Homes, we want to hear from you.

Job Responsibility:

  • Support the Head of Procurement in the efficient sourcing and purchasing of food and non-food items across the Group
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of purchases, supplier correspondence, contracts, and pricing agreements
  • Assist with tendering processes by gathering quotations, pricing information, and supplier documentation
  • Liaise with suppliers regarding order status, delivery schedules, pricing queries, and product availability
  • Support the review of supplier performance to ensure quality, reliability, and value for money
  • Assist in maintaining an approved supplier list across all Nursing Homes
  • Support invoice administration by reviewing pre-approved invoices prior to submission for payment
  • Assist with the management of annual service contracts and fixed-term pricing agreements
  • Provide general administrative support to the Procurement Department, including preparing reports and summaries as required
  • Support the implementation and ongoing maintenance of procurement policies and procedures across the Group

Requirements:

  • Strong organisational skills with excellent attention to detail
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, Outlook, and Word
  • Ability to prioritise tasks and manage multiple deadlines in a busy environment
  • Good numerical and analytical skills

Nice to have:

  • Previous experience in an administrative or procurement-related role
  • Basic knowledge of supplier and contract management principles
  • Awareness of procurement within a care or healthcare setting
