S&A Industries, Inc. has one opening available for the position of Procurement Assistant.

Job Responsibility

  • Responsible for purchasing materials, equipment, tools and supplies for hotel and resort renovations
  • Research, identify and evaluate suppliers based on price, quality, and merchandise selection, reliability, and distribution capabilities
  • Analyze price proposals and financial reports to track revenues and buying expenditures
  • Assist in preparing and issuing purchase orders, solicit bid proposals and review requisitions for high quality materials
  • Negotiate contracts, pricing, and terms with suppliers to secure the best possible deals and ensure compliance with legal requirements and company policies
  • Maintain accurate records of all procurement activities, including status, costs, contracts, purchase orders, suppliers communications and any issues on Excel
  • Ensure all procurement activities comply with industry regulations and standards
  • Monitor inventory levels to ensure materials are available and coordinate with project managers to forecast materials needs
  • Provide purchasing planning and control information by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing data and trends
  • Analyze buying trends, sale records, price, and quality of the products to determine value and preferences of customers and authorize payment for products according to contractual agreements
  • Keep track of delivery dates, works-in-progress to ensure timely product delivery for projects
  • Maintain and review records of purchases, pricing patterns, inventories, and returns made to vendors on MS Excel
  • Assist with audits of suppliers to ensure adherence to contractual obligations and quality standards
  • Prepare purchase orders and agreements for accuracy, price, and acceptability of items to specifications
  • Confer with staff and suppliers to discuss defects or unacceptable goods or services and resolve problems related to undelivered goods

Requirements

  • Requires two years of experience as a purchasing coordinator or related occupation negotiating vendor pricing, sourcing products, preparing pricing for bid packages, overseeing quality of goods and confirming contractual terms are met
  • Demonstrated knowledge of MS Excel to input, record, and track data on a daily basis
