The Seats Operations Dock to Delivery team is looking to hire a 2nd shift supply chain operations procurement agent to support our Airplane delivery targets in Renton, Washington and Seattle, Washington. This team proactively identifies and mitigates risks associated with transportation, installation, storage and rework of seats. The fast-paced nature of the airplane delivery environment requires rapid decision making, clear communication, and the ability to continuously inquire for solutions without compromising quality and safety standards. The statement of work includes standard Procurement and Supply Chain Management functions, data analysis, forecasting, supply and/or demand troubleshooting, and additional duties as assigned. This person will be a Boeing leader to our suppliers—interfacing both externally and internally with our factories, Engineering, Quality and many other stakeholders, domestically and internationally. In addition, this individual will regularly contribute to the development of new job practices, techniques, and standards; ensure solutions are consistent with organization objectives and will perform work with minimal direction and exercises considerable latitude in determining objectives and approaches to assignment. Typical hours for 2nd shift support are 2:00PM to 10:00PM, subject to change depending on business needs. This individual will spend some days at Renton location and Seattle Delivery Center location as well.
Job Responsibility
Applies Supply Chain Management (SCM) methodologies to ensure coordination in the global supply chain
Interacts and manages a globally dispersed supply base
Places purchase orders in SAP/ERP
Expedites parts’ fulfilment, by leveraging available resources (i.e. production stock, customer spares) to meet key airplane milestones
Analyses data to make recommendations for potential part shortages mitigation i.e. safety stock
Coordinate and partner with on-site supplier support teams concerning rework of seats
Regularly reports out status to Seats and Airplane Program leadership
Support program initiatives (ie. site-consolidation, storage, product protection, join verification rework and impact to seats, safety stock)
Tracks and anticipates production milestones to mitigate risks (seat installation, certification, ticketing, customer activities)
Proactively problem-solves and implements process improvements
Requirements
5+ years of experience in Procurement Work, Supply Chain, and/or general Business Operations
Experience working with Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
Nice to have
Bachelor's degree or higher
3+ years of experience in aerospace or manufacturing industry
Experience with multi-tasking
Experience with project/program management
Must be able to travel domestically and internationally as needed (10%)
