Job Description

The Senior Packaging Engineer plans, organizes, and coordinates packaging engineering and labeling activities to support product development, manufacturing, cost improvement programs, and regulatory compliance.

Job Responsibility

  • Support New Product Team and Line Extension Activities
  • Launch and Commercialize New Products and Line Extensions
  • Transfer New Products and Line Extensions to Manufacturing
  • Assess and develop action plans for packaging-related manufacturing issues
  • Support cost improvement programs and manufacturing improvement plans related to product packaging
  • Create test protocols and technical reports
  • Qualify and validate new components, equipment, processes, and operations
  • Lead technical initiatives, CAPA resolutions, and compliance projects

Requirements

  • B.S. degree with 5 years experience or M.S. degree with 4 years experience
  • Preferably in medical device or pharmaceutical industries
  • Ability to manage multiple assignments
  • Strong communication skills
  • Knowledge of FDA requirements
  • Project management abilities
  • Understanding of packaging materials and testing methods
  • B.S. degree in Packaging Engineering/Packaging Science, Life Sciences, or other Engineering disciplines with five (5) years of experience, or M.S. degree in Packaging Engineering/Packaging Science, Life Sciences, or other Engineering disciplines with four (4) years of experience
  • Preferably with experience in medical device or pharmaceutical industries
