Job Description

The PSM Engineer facilitates the implementation and ongoing execution of the Oak Creek site's process safety management program. You will report to the site Project Manager and help ensures compliance with regulatory and corporate process safety requirements and documentation.

Job Responsibility

  • Continually improves site process safety management systems
  • Leads monthly PSM Leadership Team meetings
  • Tracks process safety leading indicators and conduct strategic analysis to develop action plans to reduce risk
  • Ensures the effective communication of management of changes, process hazard analysis, safe operating limits, and other process safety elements
  • Develops employee training to improve the process safety capabilities of the organization
  • Complete internal and external assessment of program execution
  • Network with corporate and other business unit process safety managers to foster adoption of best practices
  • Provide leadership, counsel, and technical assistance on process safety issues, incidents and ensures effective process safety program execution
  • Facilitates investigation of high potential process safety events and significant process failures
  • Assists with the integration of new projects or facility expansion projects from a process safety perspective
  • Work with facility personnel on developing the process hazard analysis schedule and providing facility resources
  • Advise plant management on process safety risk and mitigation
  • Facilitates action plan development and implementation of property loss prevention improvements

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related field
  • 3+ years of experience in Process Safety Management within a manufacturing or chemical plant environment
  • Understanding of OSHA PSM regulations
  • Knowledge of process hazard analysis and risk assessment methodologies
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with all levels of an organization
