Job Description

We are looking for a Process Performance Engineer to join Airbus in Belfast, UK. You will join the Manufacturing Engineering team for A220 Wing production, work with a busy and collaborative team. The Process Performance Engineer (PPE) responsibility is to define the best industrial sequence of work to be operated on the shop floor, optimising overall aircraft production.

Job Responsibility

  • Ensure the creation of the best industrial sequence, in the definition phase, through early integration of SLB optimization drivers (Planning, constraints)
  • Enable the best industrial sequence execution to secure delivery within Takt with optimized level of resources (SLB deployment, LB release per product)
  • Ensure continuous monitoring and improvement of manufacturing efficiency (CVAT)
  • Set-up Line Balancing as mandatory pre-requisite for Manufacturing process/sequencing definition and Manufacturing performance monitoring from conception to industrial phase (early Planning /STV)
  • Drive Line efficiency with continuous improvement of Line Balancing (right granularity/time referential, white/red space optimization)
  • Support process optimization, maximizing Value Added with priority on critical path

Requirements

  • Degree in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering (or similar field)
  • Or equivalent HND / HNC or NVQ qualification in Engineering
  • 3+ years of experience in the aerospace or automotive industry and manufacturing environments
  • Knowledge of industrial processes and standards within the aerospace industry desirable
  • Proven ability to drive continuous improvement and change in complex manufacturing environments
  • Knowledge and understanding of standard line balancing
  • Proactive approach to driving efficiency and resolving production issues
