The Process Owner is responsible for understanding, mapping, improving, and governing core operational processes across the firm. They act as the day-to-day curator of how workflows, ensuring processes are efficient, measurable, well-documented, and continuously improved.
Job Responsibility:
Process Discovery & Mapping
Document current-state workflows using BPMN, swim lanes, flow diagrams, or similar notations
Identify pain points, inefficiencies, risks, and opportunities for improvement
Requirements & Analysis
Run workshops, interviews, and observations to elicit business needs
Translate findings into requirements, user stories, acceptance criteria, and success measures
Operational Improvement Support
Support idea validation and the intake → assessment → planning → execution → review lifecycle
Contribute to impact analysis, prioritization scoring, and business cases
Governance & Documentation
Maintain updated SOPs, playbooks, and process maps
Track performance metrics such as cycle time, error rates, and throughput
Cross-Functional Collaboration
Collaborate with Operations, IT Apps, PMO, and SMEs to align on process improvements
Participate in stand-ups, planning reviews, and retrospectives
Requirements:
2–4 years in Business Analysis, Operations, or Continuous Improvement
Process mapping and requirements elicitation
Basic data analysis (Excel/BI tools)
Strong communication and facilitation
Nice to have:
