As we continue being 'Here for you’, we’re looking for a Process Industrialization Developer to join our Production & manufacturing team.
Job Responsibility:
Serve as a link between the research and development (R&D) department and the manufacturing department
Scale up production processes via plant trials, according to changes in raw materials or components and process parameters
Ensure quality is maintained during large-scale production and that new innovations or raw materials developed by the R&D department can be converted into the production process in a safe and efficient way
Devise new processes and/or refine existing ones, to optimize the manufacturing process in close collaboration with the R&D and Manufacturing departments in the different product categories of Ontex Baby, Feminine and Adult hygiene products and generate ideas based on reading and research
Plan, carry out and supervise process trials in laboratories, pilot plants or factories
Improve yields by reducing costs, e.g. investigating alternative materials according to master specs or new machinery to improve efficiency and quality in bottleneck areas
Devise test methods to assess the production process
Validate new processes and show that they're an improvement
Collaborate with R&D to product pipelines at various stages of development (raw material evaluation and technology)
Read and write technical reports and specifications, maintaining appropriate records, like FTR protocols
Develop process specifications and ensure compliance with the finished product specifications
Advise on equipment modification to enable process changes for new product development
Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Chemistry, Material Science, Engineering (any) or related
5 years of progressively responsible experience in the job offered or a related manufacturing occupation
5 years of experience in each of the following: Working in research and development or engineering to design products, develop product performances, and use cost efficient raw material types
Manufacturing hygienic disposable products produced by Nonwoven or Polyethylene
Utilizing technical properties of raw materials, including hydrophobic or hydrophilic
Working with behaviors of raw materials with types of glues, and production processes to develop product specifications
Utilizing data-driven decision making using statistical data delivered from product samples and defining required amount of raw material usage
Working with hotmelt glue systems to optimize glue amounts applied to the products
