Job Description

The primary objective of this position is to provide internal and external support for all quality initiatives. This position is responsible for suggesting, establishing, and maintaining quality standards, testing and inspection, and the rejection of all sub-standard products in a safe manner. This position coordinates any action involving customer claims for inferior or defective product, which has been installed or shipped.

Job Responsibility

  • Comply with all safety and plant requirements
  • Support the TPM process through Daily Management
  • Support plant maintenance and operations teams in system and equipment troubleshooting
  • Perform root cause analysis
  • Analyze product and process data to optimize performance
  • Identify and implement process improvements
  • Identifying and requesting capital funding
  • Participate in safety, quality, autonomous maintenance, TPM, 5’s and housekeeping programs
  • Develop and maintain master samples for granuales and shingles
  • Customer Response Center main contact
  • Complete lab test for warehouse audits
  • Investigate roof claims
  • Communicate quality issues to plant personnel
  • Develop and coordinate LPA’s
  • Assist with managing QM Pillar
  • Maintain, calibrate and troubleshoot Quality equipment
  • Coordinate plant trials
  • Develop SPC charts
  • Conduct training
  • Maintain lab inventories
  • Participate in customers visits
  • Leads Continuous Improvement Activities
  • Leverages standard work
  • Leads Focused Improvement activities
  • Partners with relevant stakeholders
  • Participates in and leads Kaizen and 5S events

Requirements

  • BA degree in Engineering preferred
  • Three or more years of manufacturing experience strongly preferred
  • Understand verbal and written instructions
  • Perform basic mathematical calculations
  • Operate necessary software
