Job Description:

The Estimating Specialist is responsible for accurately forecasting the cost of projects by analyzing and compiling the cost factors, as well as creating quotation packages using process documentation, written specifications and design layouts.

Job Responsibility:

  • Prepare estimates used by management for purposes such as Sales quotations, planning, organizing, and scheduling work
  • Commissioning of manufacturing process technologies in Body in White
  • Support of the production technology during the project phase
  • Be able to evaluate the defined technical content is accurate and be able to highlight items or other cost drivers have been missed or over stated
  • Advise the project teams on process capability
  • Participate in the coordination of the setup and commissioning phase
  • Consult with clients, vendors, and personnel from other departments to discuss and formulate estimates and resolve issues
  • Create the project process documentation
  • Review material and labor requirements, to support a management decision on whether it is more cost-effective to produce or purchase components
  • Act as the main contact for our customers and subcontractors

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience
  • Knowledge of design techniques, tools, and principals involved in production of precision technical plans, blueprints, drawings, and models
  • Strong communication and presentation skills
