Job Description:

The Process Engineering Manager plays a key role in ensuring successful integration and standardization of process engineering practices in the chemical industry. The role involves hands-on experience in Process Engineering aspects, Special Process Equipment, and Process Safety devices, with a focus on identifying potential hazards and implementing safety protocols.

Requirements:

8 to 15 years or more experience in Chemical Process Industry
A solid understanding of the principles of Standardization process
4-6 years or more hands on experience in Process Engineering aspects, Special Process Equipment, Process Safety devices
Proficient in various relevant Process Engineering codes of API, ASME, NFPA, OSHA, AIChE, PIP - Process Industry practice
Sound knowledge of Chemical plant unit operations (Distillations, filtration, separation, Heat & mass transfer)
Process Engineering aspects of various types of equipment such as Pressure vessels, Reactors, agitator – mixers, filters, blenders, pumps
Identifying potential hazards and implementing safety protocols to mitigate risks
In depth understanding of MOC selection criteria
Understanding on safety studies (HAZOP, QRA, PHA, LOPA etc.)
Basic knowledge of instrumentation for specialty chemical industry
Fluency in English is must

Nice to have:

Last assignment (4 to 6 years or more) for Process engineering streams in a consulting firm or design department of a large specialty chemical process industry
Proficient to the extent of being authoritative in various codes for relevant Process Engineering codes of API, ASME, NFPA, OSHA, AIChE, PIP -Process Industry practice
Experience in a Global organization environment with different time zone
Earlier experience of dealing / interacting with multiple renowned local / global consulting - engineering firms
External established contacts with codes stalwarts – eminent professionals
