The Process Engineer is responsible for developing, implementing, and optimizing process improvements and technologies within the company. This role plays a key function in ensuring efficient and cost-effective production processes that meet quality standards and regulatory requirements.
Job Responsibility:
Qualify to Level III (can explain functionality) on core Food Production Technologies in AFNA (Refrigeration, Cooking, Forming, Packaging, Utilities) within the first 6 months
Qualify to Level V (can teach others on proper operation) on Plant Specific Technologies of Focus (to be determined) within the first 12 months
Qualify to Level III on Plant Specific regulatory requirements (Safety, Process Safety, Quality, Environmental) and ensure compliance in areas of responsibility
Identify, develop and implement process improvements that eliminate losses: Safety, Quality, Cost, Scrap, Sustainability
Support Operations and Maintenance teams in troubleshooting process-related issues
Conduct feasibility studies and cost-benefit analyses for improvement projects including small capital projects
Develop and maintain documentation for process improvements, including standard operating procedures and work instructions
Lead and/or support small group improvement activities
Train employees on process technologies, systems, and methodologies
Requirements:
BS in Engineering (ME, EE, IE, ChemE)
College Graduate up to 3 years of manufacturing experience
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment
Nice to have:
Knowledge of regulatory compliance standards and quality control procedures
Experience working in food production, processing, packaging equipment, utilities
