Job Description

The Process Engineer will play a key role in designing, optimizing, and improving manufacturing processes to ensure safety, quality, efficiency, and cost-effectiveness. This position offers an exciting opportunity for early-career professionals to apply engineering principles in a hands-on production environment while contributing to the success of the department. The role directly supports the team’s goals by driving continuous improvement initiatives and enhancing operational performance.

Job Responsibility

  • Develop, implement, and improve manufacturing processes to enhance product quality and throughput
  • Analyze production data to identify trends, reduce waste, and improve efficiency
  • Create and maintain work instructions, process documentation, and tooling specifications
  • Participate in root cause analysis and continuous improvement initiatives, including Lean and Six Sigma projects
  • Support continuous improvement and Lean manufacturing initiatives through project participation and data analysis
  • Perform time studies and cycle time analysis to balance workflow and improve efficiency
  • Assist with new product introductions and process validation activities
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure successful project execution
  • All other duties as assigned

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Industrial, Manufacturing, or related Engineering field
  • 3 – 5 years of relevant experience in a manufacturing environment (internship or co-op experience preferred)
  • Advanced understanding of Lean, Kaizen, and Six Sigma concepts
  • Proficiency in problem-solving tools such as Pareto analysis, 5 Whys, Fishbone diagrams, and PDCA
  • Strong analytical and data visualization skills, particularly in Excel
  • Proficiency with CAD software and familiarity with Lean manufacturing principles
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to influence at all levels
  • Strong teamwork and collaboration skills to work effectively in a cross-functional environment
  • Proactive and detail-oriented with a continuous improvement mindset
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively in a fast-paced environment
