We are looking for an experienced Process Engineer to join our team in Walla Walla (30-minute drive from Albury). In this pivotal role, you'll lead continuous improvement initiatives, optimising production processes and enhancing operational efficiency across our manufacturing operations.
Job Responsibility:
Analyse current production processes and identify opportunities for improvement including production layout
Design, improve, and manage current manufacturing processes, with a focus on efficiency, safety, and cost-effectiveness
Lead and manage small-scale process improvement projects from concept to implementation
Develop and implement innovative solutions to streamline workflows and boost productivity
Collaborate cross-functionally with teams to implement process changes and monitor their impact
Utilise lean manufacturing principles to identify and resolve inefficiencies, improve quality, productivity and reduce waste
Work collaboratively with the engineering and drafting departments to implement product design improvements with a focus on cost effective, efficient, and safe manufacturing
Oversee the installation of new machines and equipment and provide training to production teams
Document and standardise best practices to ensure consistent and efficient operations
Contribute to the development of new process designs and prototypes
Support the implementation of new technologies and equipment to enhance manufacturing capabilities and safety
Requirements:
Degree in Engineering (Mechanical or Mechatronics), with a focus on Process Engineering or a related field or trade qualified with relevant experience and post trade studies
Proficiency in drafting and simulation software (e.g., CAD, Inventor)
Previous experience in a process, continuous improvement or manufacturing engineering role
Expertise in lean manufacturing principles and process improvement methodologies
Strong analytical, problem-solving and critical thinking skills to identify and address complex issues
Excellent communication and collaboration abilities to work effectively with cross-functional teams
Familiarity with industrial automation technologies and software applications
Demonstrated success in driving sustainable process improvements and delivering tangible results
