The Process Engineer will be responsible for producing design studies and manufacturing designs for NSG projects. The engineer will work within a multi-discipline design team and be responsible for undertaking the design of equipment as delegated by the Integration Manager and/or Project Manager.
Job Responsibility
Production of process design concepts, e.g. (P&IDs, PFDs, Equipment Lists, Design Calculations)
Knowledge and experience of applying of process engineering design fundamentals e.g. (CFD, Thermodynamics, Fluid Mechanics)
Appreciation of Instrumentation and Control interfaces
Produce designs that conform to the relevant British and European standards and client requirements
Produce and maintain an LTQR / Technical File in accordance with NSG Quality Management Systems
Ensure that the design addresses operability, maintainability, and safety issues
Produce designs that meet with project programmes and budgets
Produce design justification reports that demonstrate the design mitigates all technical risks identified
Production of Process Engineering technical specifications
Production of Commissioning documentation, e.g. FAT and SAT
Subcontract supplier management
Attendance and witnessing of Commissioning activities
Requirements
Relevant Engineering Degree, HNC or demonstrable equivalent experience
Broad based engineering experience in design and manufacturing
Process Engineering design experience
Competent user of MS Office
Able to organise and prioritise own work
Nice to have
Membership of appropriate technical / professional body
Knowledge of drawing principles and standards
Design experience of Nuclear Safety Systems
Experience in Hazardous Area Categorisation
AutoCAD
HAZOP/HAZID experience
Used to dealing with confidential and commercial information
Familiar with integrated management system operating procedures and requirements
Effective presentation skills
Ability to communicate with a wide range of colleagues at all levels and with external stakeholders and contractors
Knowledge of ISO 9001 / 14001 & 45001
