Job Description

The primary purpose of this role is to deliver innovative and sustainable water, wastewater and recycled water treatment process planning and design solutions for Aurecon’s clients. You will be a key member of a team of highly skilled specialists that ‘bring ideas to life’ through a combination of technical knowledge, experience and innovation.

Job Responsibility

  • Work through engineering phases from planning investigations, conceptual design, front-end engineering and detailed design
  • Develop process calculations and models
  • Assist in the development of process simulations, Process Flow Diagrams (PFDs), Piping and Instrument Diagrams (P&IDs), design documents, including reports, and specifications
  • Produce written reports, documents and presentations to explain engineering ideas and concepts
  • Contribute to strategic and conceptual planning investigations to identify innovative and sustainable solutions
  • Contribute to the delivery of multi-disciplinary engineering designs
  • Contribute to the development of designs by applying innovative solutions and technological developments that drive efficiency and sustainability
  • Work within study and project teams to meet scope requirements and ensure time and budget objectives are achieved
  • Engage and build positive relationships with existing and potential clients and stakeholders, support business development and tenders to win and deliver work for Aurecon

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Civil, Mechanical, Chemical, Environmental Engineering or similar
  • Experience in or a demonstrated passion for water and wastewater treatment and sustainability
  • Experience working in a consultancy environment, with an understanding of project delivery, client interaction, and commercial awareness
  • Knowledge of process engineering calculations, PFDs and P&IDs
  • Knowledge of Australian Drinking Water Guideline requirements and its applications
  • Knowledge and experience in potable water quality requirements and ability to interpret and analyse the water testing reports
  • Understanding of physical, chemical and biological water treatment methods and processes
  • Experience in working in a multi-disciplinary team
  • Ability to work constructively in a team environment and communicate effectively
