Job Description

We are currently seeking a Process Engineering Intern for our Vandergrift, PA Operations.

Job Responsibility

  • Establish relationships between process characteristics and key output variables
  • Assist the Quality Department with the development and improvement of standard operating procedures and temporary work instructions
  • Identify, justify, and implement cost savings projects
  • Participate on Capital Project teams as needed
  • Daily and direct interaction with production personnel involving process related issues and potential improvements

Requirements

  • Currently attending accredited 4-year college with a major in Chemical Engineering, Materials Science/Metallurgy, or related field
  • Candidates must have a minimum of a 3.0 GPA

Nice to have

  • Desire to work in a manufacturing environment, and working from a maintenance perspective with heavy industrial equipment is a plus
  • Familiarity with computer-based process models and optimization techniques
  • Proficiency with ad-hoc database queries using Microsoft Access or SQL
  • Role will have the opportunity to present their projects to the senior management of ATI Specialty Rolled Products at the end of their internship
