Job Description

We are looking for an experienced Process Engineer from a precision machining environment to support and improve CNC turning operations within a high-performance manufacturing business. This role is suited to a hands-on engineer with strong CNC turning and CAD/CAM experience who enjoys solving manufacturing problems, improving processes and supporting production teams.

Job Responsibility

  • Support CNC turning operations through process development and optimisation
  • Implement and develop CAD/CAM capability
  • Resolve manufacturing and quality issues
  • Drive continuous improvement projects to improve quality, efficiency and reduce waste
  • Support tooling selection, machine improvements and engineering projects
  • Work closely with Production, Quality and Engineering teams to deliver manufacturing excellence

Requirements

  • Minimum 5 years' experience in a precision machining or metal-cutting manufacturing environment
  • Strong knowledge of CNC Turning processes
  • CAD/CAM programming experience
  • Experience reading and interpreting engineering drawings
  • Proven experience implementing and improving manufacturing processes
  • Experience supporting production with tooling, programming and process optimisation
  • Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing, Kaizen, 5S and Continuous Improvement techniques
  • Experience investigating quality issues, NCRs and implementing corrective actions
  • Understanding of ISO 9001 quality standards
  • Experience using ERP/MRP systems

Nice to have

  • Background in Motorsport, Formula 1, Aerospace or other high-precision engineering sectors
  • Knowledge of statistical process control and process capability
  • Degree qualified in Manufacturing, Mechanical Engineering or similar
