In our high-tech small production runs, single part and prototype production, you will support us in the high-precision manufacture of optical components, assemblies and systems made of glass, glass ceramics and ceramics.
Job Responsibility:
Process ownership: Independently manage assigned laser structuring processes
support additional processes with senior engineers or line management
Monitoring & CI: Monitor processes using Lean/Six Sigma (e.g. SPC) and drive KVP to improve yield, quality, cost, and cycle time
Optimization & solutions: Implement simple optimizations independently and support complex improvements
develop technical solutions for defined tasks
Availability & ramp‑up: Support process availability (excluding maintenance) and contribute to ramp‑up projects
Documentation & training: Create and maintain manufacturing/inspection documentation and train production teams as a certified trainer
Technology & NPI: Adapt existing processes, take over new laser structuring technologies per TGP, and contribute to NPI and PCCSIMs
Risk, decisions & collaboration: Participate in FMEAs and ECRs, support equipment procurement/qualification, and collaborate cross‑functionally with Manufacturing, Engineering, D&E, and R&T
Requirements:
You hold a degree in natural sciences or engineering
You have initial relevant professional experience in a production or technical environment, enabling you to independently manage processes and support ramp‑up activities
You have experience with structuring manufacturing processes, ideally using laser material processing technologies
You are familiar with precision / fine mechanical systems
You have experience analyzing and statistically evaluating process‑related data
You apply Six Sigma, SPC, PDCA, and Continuous Improvement methods confidently
You have experience creating manufacturing documentation and technical decision proposals
You are familiar with risk analysis and escalation management (e.g. FMEA)
You speak English and German fluently to collaborate with local and international teams
