In our high-tech small production runs, single part and prototype production, you will support us in the high-precision manufacture of optical components, assemblies and systems made of glass, glass ceramics and ceramics.
Job Responsibility:
Process ownership: Independently manage assigned coating/bonding processes
Monitoring & optimization: Apply Lean and Six Sigma methods (e.g. SPC) to drive continuous improvement in yield, cost, and cycle time
Implement improvements: Execute simple optimizations independently and support more complex process changes
Availability & maintenance: Ensure process availability and define maintenance plans
Documentation & training: Create and maintain manufacturing documentation and train production teams as a certified trainer
NPI & technologies: Adapt existing processes, take over new bonding technologies, and contribute to NPI, PCCSIMs, and ramp-up projects
Risk, decisions & collaboration: Participate in FMEAs and ECRs, support equipment procurement, and collaborate closely across production, engineering, D&E, and R&T
Requirements:
Degree in a scientific or technical field
Relevant professional experience in production and technical environments
Experience working with precision / fine mechanical systems
Experience working with vacuum technology in an industrial or manufacturing environment
Experience working with gas safety systems
Experience in analyzing large, heterogeneous data sets
Practical experience applying Six Sigma, SPC, PDCA, and continuous improvement methodologies
Experience creating manufacturing documentation and decision proposals
Hands-on experience in equipment procurement or optimization projects
Familiarity with escalation management and risk analyses (e.g. FMEA)
Fluent in English and German
