Job Description

In our high-tech small production runs, single part and prototype production, you will support us in the high-precision manufacture of optical components, assemblies and systems made of glass, glass ceramics and ceramics.

Job Responsibility

  • Independently manage assigned cleaning processes (wet or blasting cleaning)
  • Apply Lean and Six Sigma methods (e.g., SPC) to drive continuous improvement in yield, cost, and cycle time
  • Execute simple optimizations independently and support more complex process changes
  • Ensure process availability and define maintenance plans for cleaning processes
  • Create and maintain manufacturing documentation (AAWs, REZs, work instructions) and train production teams
  • Adapt existing cleaning processes, introduce new cleaning technologies, contribute to NPI, PCCSIMs, and ramp-up projects
  • Participate in FMEAs and ECRs, support equipment selection and procurement, collaborate across production, engineering, D&E, and R&T

Requirements

  • Degree in a technical or natural science field
  • Relevant professional experience in a production and technical environment
  • Experience with semi- to fully automated cleaning systems for wet and blasting cleaning processes
  • Experience in technical data management (interfaces with IT and MES, OPC UA, internal databases, SPC, qs-stat, Power BI)
  • Experience in technical drawing and tooling (drawing maintenance, tool design coordination, spare parts procurement, tool maintenance)
  • Applied Six Sigma, SPC, PDCA, continuous improvement (CIP/KVP)
  • Experience in creating manufacturing documentation and decision templates
  • Hands-on experience in equipment procurement, optimization projects, defining manufacturing requirements (specifications)
  • Confident in escalation management and risk analysis (FMEA)
  • Fluent in German and English (written and spoken)
