This is a high impact, hands-on engineering role focused on PLC programming, process optimization, and plant troubleshooting in a manufacturing environment. This hire will influence automation strategy and modernization efforts for the organization.
Job Responsibility:
Program, configure, and troubleshoot PLCs (Allen Bradley), HMIs, and control networks
Support reactor and batch process control systems in a chemical manufacturing environment
Lead root cause analysis for process upsets, alarms, and automation bottlenecks
Optimize PID control loops and improve system performance
Partner with Operations, Maintenance, E&I, Quality, and Engineering teams to improve uptime and reliability
Update and maintain electrical schematics, P&IDs, and control documentation
Support Management of Change (MOC) initiatives related to automation and process controls
Drive automation upgrades, standardization, and modernization projects
Provide technical leadership on controls architecture, networking and system integration
Participate in on-call rotation supporting plant operations when necessary
Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in Chemical, Electrical, Automation, or Mechanical Engineering (or equivalent experience)
3+ years of hands-on PLC programming and troubleshooting in a manufacturing environment
Strong working knowledge of Allen Bradley PLC hardware and software (highly preferred)
Experience with HMIs, instrumentation, electrical systems, and industrial networking
Understanding of PID control, process automation, and continuous improvement methodologies
Ability to work onsite and support multiple production facilities
