With our automation system currently under construction and scheduled for handover in the summer, this is a pivotal moment to join us. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in complexity, enjoys digging into processes, and is motivated by the challenge of improving performance to drive meaningful impact across our automated and traditional warehouse activities.

Job Responsibility

  • Defining, measuring, analysing, implementing, and optimising automated systems alongside core warehousing processes
  • Reviewing every workflow, touchpoint, and parameter — from E1 process flows and replenishment methods to stock quantities and throughput
  • Monitoring system performance
  • Troubleshooting issues
  • Supporting warehouse teams
  • Using data‑driven insights to enhance efficiency
  • Helping shape the role's scope
  • Influencing operational decision‑making
  • Ensuring strong stakeholder alignment across Operations, OpEx, Engineering, and Quality

Requirements

  • Proven experience in automation within a distribution, production line, or high‑volume operational environment
  • Background in mechanical engineering or experience in companies with complex production flows is highly advantageous
  • Understanding of automation principles, lean methodologies, and continuous improvement
  • Comfortable navigating systems, data, and operational detail
  • Strong stakeholder management skills
  • Confidence to challenge and influence
  • Ability to demonstrate value through clear improvements in efficiency, quality, and throughput
  • Experience of a warehouse management system is essential
  • Expert knowledge of JD Edwards (E1) is desirable
