A well-established and highly respected law firm is seeking an experienced Probate Paralegal to join its team. This is a key, hands-on role supporting estate and trust administration matters, ideal for someone who thrives in a detail-oriented environment and enjoys working closely with clients through sensitive matters.
Job Responsibility:
Manage probate and estate administration matters from start to finish
Draft and prepare probate filings and supporting legal documents
Assist with asset collection, valuation, and distribution
Track and manage creditor claims and deadlines
Support preparation of estate tax filings, including IRS Form 706
Communicate directly with clients, providing guidance throughout the process
Work closely with attorneys to ensure smooth case progression
Requirements:
3+ years of probate or estate administration experience
Experience preparing IRS Form 706 strongly preferred
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
Ability to manage deadlines and work independently
Professional, client-focused communication style
Experience with fiduciary accounting is a plus
At least 3 years of experience supporting probate, estate administration, or closely related legal matters
Demonstrated ability to draft probate-related documents and manage case activity with a high degree of accuracy
Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize multiple matters and meet deadlines independently
Strong written and verbal communication skills and a client-service mindset when handling sensitive situations
Familiarity with fiduciary accounting is a plus
Proficiency with legal case management systems and standard office technology
