Support attorneys with probate litigation from intake through final resolution
Prepare, revise, and submit court filings such as petitions, motions, inventories, orders, accountings, and other case documents
Track deadlines, monitor case progress, and maintain compliance with procedural requirements for active matters
Research legal questions involving probate proceedings, trusts, wills, and creditor issues to assist case strategy and filings
Serve as a point of contact for clients, beneficiaries, courts, and financial institutions by sharing updates and coordinating needed information
Assist with discovery and trial readiness by organizing records, preparing exhibits, and supporting attorneys before hearings, mediations, depositions, and trial proceedings
Help compile information for estate and gift tax return preparation and filing at the state level
Maintain well-organized case files, correspondence, and estate records to ensure accurate documentation throughout each matter
Support asset identification, valuation, and distribution efforts as part of estate administration activities
Requirements
At least 3 years of paralegal experience focused on probate, trust matters, estate administration, or related litigation
Prior hands-on experience in probate work is required
Paralegal certification is required
Strong ability to manage litigation matters, including discovery support, document preparation, and trial coordination
Proficiency with case management and legal billing software, including tools such as Practice Master and Tabs3, is preferred
Comfortable using everyday legal technology such as Microsoft Office, Dropbox, DocuSign, Adobe, Zoom, and Teams
Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple deadlines and maintain accurate files in a fast-paced practice
Strong written and verbal communication skills for working effectively with attorneys, clients, court personnel, and outside parties
