PRN Certified Sterile Processing Technician -No weekends, no holidays and no call! Physician's Surgery Center, a leading multispecialty surgery center, is seeking a dedicated and certified Sterile Processing Technician to join our dynamic team. As a Sterile Processing Tech, SPD, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the highest standards of cleanliness and safety in our surgical environment.

Job Responsibility

  • Perform the decontamination, cleaning, processing, and sterilization of surgical instruments and medical equipment
  • Follow established protocols and standards to maintain the integrity and sterility of all processed items
  • Monitor and maintain equipment functionality, reporting any malfunctions promptly
  • Collaborate with surgical and nursing staff to ensure timely and accurate supply of sterile instruments
  • Adhere to infection control policies and procedures, maintaining aseptic technique at all times
  • Participate in ongoing education and training to stay current with industry standards and best practices

Requirements

  • Certification as a Sterile Processing Technician (CSPDT) or Certified Registered Central Service Technician (CRCST)
  • Previous experience in sterile processing within a healthcare setting is preferred
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining high standards of cleanliness
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills
  • Ability to work independently and efficiently in a fast-paced environment
