Job Description:

We are seeking an experienced Private Water Supplies Risk Assessor to support a programme of scheduled risk assessments across the North East. This is an excellent opportunity for an Environmental Health professional looking for flexibility, autonomy, and a well-structured interim assignment. The role offers complete flexibility around working hours, with the option to work part-time or full-time, and a strong balance between site-based work and home-based report writing.

Job Responsibility:

  • Booking and coordinating appointments directly with premises owners and occupiers
  • Undertaking Private Water Supplies risk assessments in line with current legislation and guidance
  • Conducting site visits across the North East
  • Producing clear, accurate, and timely written risk assessment reports
  • Maintaining effective communication with relevant stakeholders throughout the assessment process

Requirements:

  • Proven experience carrying out Private Water Supplies risk assessments
  • Background in Environmental Health or a related discipline
  • Strong report-writing skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to work independently and manage your own workload
  • Access to transport for site visits within the North East
