Job Description:

Wells Fargo is seeking a Private Mortgage Banker Assistant (SAFE) within Home Lending as part of Consumer Lending, to support our WIM Premier Mortgage Group. This position works under the guidance of a Private Mortgage Banker to produce high quality residential mortgage loans that meet Wells Fargo Home Mortgage guidelines.

Job Responsibility:

  • Work under the guidance of a Private Mortgage Banker to produce high quality residential mortgage loans
  • Build relationships with realtors, builders, financial professionals, bank store, past customers, and other non-traditional sources
  • Obtain customer applications, quote the rate and points, and complete follow-up activities
  • Coordinate and schedule customer meetings, seminars, and virtual consultations
  • Understand real estate appraisals, title reports, and real estate transactions
  • Interact with customers to understand their needs and provide high-quality loan service
  • Conduct outbound calls and emails to nurture leads, schedule consultations, and promote mortgage solutions
  • Serve as the first point of contact for prospective borrowers
  • Review low complexity financial and credit data, matching customer needs with appropriate loan programs
  • Develop knowledge of company products, policies and procedures, and underwriting requirements

Requirements:

  • 2+ years of Mortgage Consumer Direct Sales experience
  • SAFE registration required
  • Compliance with S.A.F.E. Mortgage Licensing Act of 2008
  • Meet Consumer Financial Protection Bureau qualification requirements
  • Acceptable background investigation results
  • Meet Loan Originator requirements under Regulation Z

Nice to have:

  • Experience in loan origination or loan processing
  • Strong understanding of mortgage sales, origination processes and industry regulations
  • Experience working with high-net-worth clients
  • Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
  • Extensive knowledge of lending policy guidelines and procedures
  • Track record of proactive problem solving, taking initiative, and effectiveness in resolving complex escalations
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities, including managing a pipeline and supporting escalations
  • Technical skills: CORE, One Right Answer, Policy Library, Microsoft Office, Horizon, RALI
