Job Description

We are looking for a Private Markets Investment Due Diligence Intern to join the Hong Kong office for a three month period starting from early/mid-Jun 2026.

Job Responsibility

  • Assist with Asia PM Data Analytics project
  • Assist in the development of quantitative analysis models
  • Undertaking qualitative works
  • Write up manager meetings and assist with concept drafting
  • Support client deliverables and research projects

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in any discipline to be completed after August 2026
  • Excel macros programming skills a must
  • Python programming skills will be regarded positively
  • Comply with terms of Albourne Compliance Manuals and procedures
  • Participate in a training programme organized by the Company focused on the investment aspects of Asian private market funds

  • Assist in maintaining and expanding Albourne’s coverage of Private Credit fund offerings – the primary deliverable is a written research report based on qualitative and quantitative analysis
  • Participate in the due diligence process including initial screening of investment managers
  • participating in meetings with the managers

  • engaging in an open dialogue with both colleagues and fund managers
  • and participating in the fund rating process
  • Coordinate diligence call schedules, draft internal meeting notes, and ensure the predefined research process is adhered to
  • Initiate ‘new’ research and ratings on Private Credit offerings raising capital, as well as assisting with ongoing monitoring of funds
  • Help build relationships between Albourne, the client and fund managers to assist with access to data/information, key decision makers, and fund allocations
  • Assist PM IDD Senior Analysts in the periodic production of strategy forecasts for Private Credit strategies

  • Generate fund lists: Work in coordination with the Head of the Asia Private Markets IDD, Head of the Real Estate IDD, Head of Real Assets IDD and Private Markets IDD Analysts to maintain manager review and due diligence focus lists for assigned strategies and regions (if applicable)
  • Rate managers: Rate managers in the given strategy and exhibit the ability to clearly and persuasively articulate the rationale for those ratings
  • Produce IDD and associated reports: Produce clear & concise investment due diligence reports and recommendations to present to clients in coordination with the PM IDD Analyst(s) (Real Assets and Real Estate)
  • Monitoring: Provide ongoing monitoring of funds in client portfolios or on fund lists in the given strategy to ensure accuracy of existing ratings
  • Assist clients with accessing managers: To the extent possible, help build relationships between Albourne, the client, and covered managers to assist with client access to preferred funds
