Job Description:

Senior Principal Technologist role driving technical leadership for HPE's portfolio of private cloud offerings including Connected, Disconnected, and Edge-to-Cloud solutions. Requires exceptional architectural expertise, strategic vision, and ability to influence outcomes across HPE and broader industry.

Job Responsibility:

Lead overall architecture and technical strategy for HPE's Private Cloud Enterprise (PCE) portfolio
Partner with E2E Solution Architect, Solution Owner, and Senior Engineering Management to provide technical oversight
Define and maintain architectural standards, best practices, and technical roadmaps
Collaborate with customers, partners, and internal stakeholders to analyze and prioritize requirements
Serve as trusted advisor and technical authority in high-stakes customer engagements
Work closely with product management, sales, and go-to-market teams
Collaborate with global engineering teams and delivery teams

Requirements:

Proven experience designing and implementing complex, enterprise-grade systems with focus on scalability, reliability, security, and performance
Deep understanding of hybrid and private cloud technologies including compute, storage, networking, virtualization, and containerization
Expertise in automation and IaaS tools (e.g., Ansible, Puppet, Chef)
Familiarity with software development methodologies and toolsets
Strong knowledge of physical and virtual infrastructure, IT operations management (ITOM), and IT service management (ITSM)
Proficiency in Agile processes and tools including backlog grooming, Epic elaboration, defect management, and reporting (e.g., Jira, Confluence, Aha, Structure)
Exceptional written and verbal communication skills with experience presenting to senior executives and C-level stakeholders
Ability to convey complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences

Nice to have:

Advanced degree (Master's or Ph.D.) in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field
Industry certifications in cloud architecture (e.g., AWS Certified Solutions Architect – Professional, Google Cloud Professional Cloud Architect, Microsoft Azure Solutions Architect Expert)
