Job Description:

We’re engaged with a reputable insurance firm who is looking for an experienced Private Clients Development Underwriter to join their team. This role offers the chance to help develop the Mid/High-Net-Worth Market and guide junior team members.

Job Responsibility:

  • Underwrite new business and renewal risks within delegated binding authorities
  • Engage directly with insurers for technical referrals
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key trading partners
  • Manage MTAs, cancellations, and general referral inquiries
  • Contribute to the creation and execution of sales campaigns
  • Serve as a technical reference to support Underwriting Teams, Junior Colleagues, and Account Managers
  • Assess the impact of claims and risk management on case performance and adjust underwriting accordingly

Requirements:

  • CII DIP CII or ACII
  • Extensive prior underwriting experience
  • Solid knowledge of legal and regulatory requirements
  • Strong sales mindset with the ability to build relationships and develop close rapport with brokers
  • Ability to learn and adapt to change
  • High level of numeracy, analytical, and literacy skills
  • Exceptional organisational and prioritisation skills
  • Effective communication abilities
