Our rapidly growing Private Client Team manage funds, businesses and trusts of individuals, families and entrepreneurs. Alongside solving a constantly evolving range of technical challenges, working in this team means building strong relationships with individuals so you can become their trusted advisor and oversee their tax affairs in line with what they want to achieve as an individual or business. Job Responsibility:
Build strong relationships with individuals to become their trusted advisor and oversee their tax affairs in line with what they want to achieve as an individual or business
Visit clients across the world
Work proactively and manage your own tasks
Collaborate with others and communicate regularly with senior managers, directors, and BDO’s partners to help businesses effectively
Identify and draw attention to opportunities for enhancing our delivery and providing additional services to organisations we work with
Requirements:
In depth, up to date knowledge of taxation with experience of advising high net worth individuals, their families and wealth protection structures
Strong experiences and the ability to lead projects in succession planning for multi-generational families and to provide support to the wider private client team on a wide range of private client tax matters
Experience advising in the UK and offshore trusts area and working with trustees and wealth advisory teams on the taxation considerations
Experience of managing a portfolio of clients including control of client take-on and engagement, billings and identification of new opportunities
Ability to provide private client compliance and advisory services to a wide range of clients using resource from a shared service team
Understanding of potential risks to the firm arising from various aspects of client engagement
Ability to guide and supervise less experienced colleagues
Ability to support, train, mentor and advise others
Willingness to challenge current practice – driving improvements and championing change
Takes personal responsibility for own decisions and actions and those of others
Ability to lead projects of varying scale and complexity
Educated to degree level and is CTA and/or ACA qualified or equivalent
Ability to consult with colleagues and Partners on technical and risk matters
