Requirements

A qualified solicitor (8+ PQE) with strong private client experience across wills, trusts, estate planning, and probate
Technically strong, with confidence handling high-value and complex estates (often with international elements)
STEP qualified or working towards it
Commercially minded and capable of building lasting client relationships
Entrepreneurial, self-driven, and excited by the idea of building a new practice from a high-quality platform
A confident communicator and leader, capable of mentoring junior lawyers and representing the department internally and externally

Job Responsibility

Drafting and advising on wills, trusts, and lasting powers of attorney
Handling complex estate administration and probate, including intestacies and foreign domicile matters
Providing succession and tax planning advice, including lifetime gifting, asset protection, and post-death variations
Advising international clients on UK property structuring, domicile and residency, and cross-border estate planning
Collaborating with family offices, financial advisers, and tax specialists to deliver joined-up advice
Leading on business development and the longer-term strategic growth of the department
