Job Description:

The US Pensions Investment (USPI) team manages and invests the assets of Citi's US Defined Benefit and Defined Contribution retirement plans. The Private Assets Investment Analyst will support the team by providing analytical assistance across portfolio asset management, investment due diligence, reporting processes, and fiduciary oversight of funds. Responsibilities include preparing reports, conducting risk analysis, monitoring portfolio positions, and ensuring compliance with investment guidelines.

Job Responsibility:

  • Provide critical analytical support to the Private Assets Investment Officers and Operations
  • participate in new investment and operational due diligence
  • support the monthly and quarterly reporting processes
  • assist in monitoring portfolio positions
  • prepare ad-hoc reports, special projects, and presentations
  • conduct portfolio analysis
  • assist in the review of pension and 401K plans activities
  • assist in new investments and redemption process
  • provide timely feedback on audit requests
  • assist with performance calculations
  • support the Pension Plan Investment Committee and 401(k) Plan Investment Committee
  • monitor underperforming funds
  • utilize private equity models and custodian systems
  • create quantitative analysis and modules

Requirements:

  • 1-5 years of experience in a related role
  • solid understanding of financial products
  • advanced analytical skills
  • ability to see the big picture
  • excellent written and oral communication
  • results-driven, with an ability to deliver high-quality work
  • effective interpersonal skills
  • attention to detail, desire for accuracy, intellectual curiosity
  • proficiency with standard analysis tools (Excel, Access, Power Point)
  • quantitative background and Python programming knowledge
  • effective project management
  • ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
  • ability to interact with all levels of management
  • must be a team player
