The Print Production Specialist assists with the production of in-house print for OnQ labels and instruction sheets. The Print Production Specialist will work closely with the Print Production Manager to ensure requests are carried through. This includes, but is not limited to, setting up labels for print, printing all instruction sheets and labels using our Konica Minolta AccurioPress C4070 production printer with Command WorkStation, tracking printer consumables that includes toner, paper, labels stock and other supplies, reviewing the PPS (Print Production Spec) when necessary, comparing the PPS to the BOM (Bill of Materials) once released, and tracking finished graphic inventory. Project management skills required. This is a fast paced, multi-project experience. Strong organizational skills and the ability to track the status and progress of 25-50 jobs during busy seasons is a must. This position will report to the Print Production Manager and must have exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
Job Responsibility:
Manage receipt of graphics and apply load tags once approved. This also requires tracking via SmartSheet for visibility and recording of received quantities on the PPS
Organize and manage all inventory for the AccurioPress C4070 and maintain a production log by project for the production machine for billing purposes
The ability to read and interpret a BOM (Bill of Materials) to know what labels need to be created and understand what items need printed including the quantities for each project
Adobe InDesign use required in creating labels and instruction sheets
Inspect inbound print production items against approved pre-production samples as needed to assist the print production team
Coordinate the movement of inbound printed goods for pack-out with OnQ’s warehouse team as needed. This also requires tracking via SmartSheet
Manage all returned graphics for inventory or discard based on potential needs vs refresh status (purge all discontinued items)
Assist the Print Production Designers and Print Production Manager as needed and as time allows
Requirements:
Have the ability to lift roughly 60lbs (case of paper)
Basic working knowledge of Adobe Creative Cloud with a focus on Adobe Illustrator, Adobe Photoshop and Adobe InDesign. Microsoft Office (especially Excel) products and other print-related software. Concur and Smartsheet are a plus
Solid organizational and multi-tasking skills – strong time management skills
Outstanding work ethic with intense attention to detail. Self-motivated to tackle the day’s tasks. Does not need micro-management, but also not afraid to ask for help and communicate any potential issues
Works well with internal team members to drive and deliver results with a positive attitude and outlook – solve the problem instead of dwelling on it
Exceptional written and verbal communication skills for collaborating and working with internal team members
College degree or equivalent work experience in print production / prepress / graphics a plus
