The Print Production Operator is responsible for producing and applying vinyl prints with operational efficiency, quality, and effectiveness. This role ensures all vinyl print jobs meet specifications, deadlines, and quality standards while maintaining a safe and organized work environment. High-quality, in-house print production ensures our organization delivers exceptional value to clients and drives the overall success of STAR as an industry leader.
Job Responsibility:
Locate and prepare vinyl print and cut files according to order specification
Monitor print runs while ensuring accuracy, quality, and avoiding wasted materials
Maintain, stock, test, and clean print parts and heads
Maintain, stock, and operate laminator machine for in-house printed vinyl
Maintain and operate cutting machine to ensure efficient and accurate vinyl cutting
Manually weed and mask in-house cut vinyl for precise application and desired look
Remove old or out-of-use vinyl from surfaces
Prepare surfaces for vinyl application (cleaning, smoothing, measuring)
Apply in-house vinyl onto a variety of surfaces utilizing industry tools and best practices, ensuring accurate measurements and desired placement
Collaborate with graphic department team to receive order specifications and release graphic orders
Requirements:
Experience with exhibit installation preferred
Experience in exhibits, trade shows, or events preferred
Ability to maintain a safe and organized working environment
Able to proactively solve problems
Strong attention to detail
Technically savvy
Self-starter and able to manage tasks with urgency
Experience and comfort with working within tight deadlines
