Job Description

As a Principal Waste Consultant, you will be responsible for the successful delivery of project assignments, ensuring they are completed on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards. You will also contribute to business development activities where required. Working as part of the Waste Characterisation team, you will bring experience in shielding assessments and Non-Destructive Assay (NDA) techniques.

  • Work as part of a team, and where appropriate, lead consultancy projects in line with the client's management arrangements and project requirements
  • Provide technical expertise in environmental, waste management, and characterisation services, supporting all areas of the company's operations and delivering against specific contracts

Requirements

  • Degree (or Equivalent) qualified in relevant discipline
  • Experience of Waste Characterisation
  • Experience in Shielding and NDA (Non-Destructive Assay)
  • Minimum of 5 Years Nuclear Waste Management Experience
  • Must be eligible to work in the UK
  • Must be able to obtain SC Security Clearance

Nice to have

  • Knowledge of Hazardous Waste Legislation
  • Class 7 Consignor certification/experience
  • Foundation qualification in Radiological Protection (PHE) or AURPO Certificate in Radiation Protection
