The Principal Technical Specialist is responsible for providing technical support to US Microelectronics customers in support of achieving Sales targets. You will use your acquired experience and knowledge of the semiconductor industry to be the technical leg of a triad, that includes Marketing and Sales. Together you will work with our customers to recommend or develop filtration solutions that meet their process requirements, solve technical issues, present filter application performance data, coordinate technical review meetings, conduct filtration seminars, and obtain technical voice-of-customer (VoC) about filtration technologies. The position gives you the opportunities to grow and learn in this fast-paced and challenging industry. This position reports to the senior manager and is part of the technical support team in MicroE Scientific and Lab Services and will be working remotely to cover the west region, preferably based in Oregon (other locations to be considered).
Job Responsibility
Lead and manage the testing plans and technical projects to achieve business goals
Develop and recommend appropriate filtration processes for various applications (Wet Cleans, Photolithography, CMP, UPW, etch, gas, etc) with minimum guidance
Independently solve challenging and complicated customer issues
Write and present technical reports to convey complicated and difficult technical messages to internal and external stakeholders
Collect and report VOC about filter performance gaps and requirements for next generation processes
Promote and report the results of prototype filter evaluations
Work with global sales, marketing, R&D and engineering teams
Requirements
B.S., M.S., Ph.D. in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Physics or Materials Science
A minimum of 10 years (8 years for M.S. or 5 years for Ph.D.) of scientific and engineering experience in Micro‐ electronics or Semiconductor Industry (either processes, e.g, in IDM & OEM, and/or Materials)
Knowledge of a process module (Photolithography, Wet Etch/Cleans) in the semiconductor manufacturing process
Understanding of on-wafer defect and material characterization techniques
Must have a valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record
Working knowledge of or experience in filtration for Microelectronics related materials or processes
Experience working directly with customers
