Job Description:

Piper Companies is seeking a Principal Systems Analyst for an enterprise modernization program in Smithfield, RI or Merrimack, NH. The Principal Systems Analyst will lead requirements gathering, workflow design, and technical analysis to support engineering teams across large‑scale integration efforts.

Job Responsibility:

  • Lead end‑to‑end requirements gathering for complex enterprise applications and integrations
  • Develop epics, user stories, acceptance criteria, process flows, and system documentation
  • Partner with engineering teams to define API requirements, data mappings, and technical interfaces
  • Support Agile ceremonies including backlog refinement, sprint planning, and prioritization
  • Conduct functional validation, UAT planning, and readiness assessments
  • Analyze workflow dependencies and identify technical risks and mitigation strategies
  • Collaborate closely with architects and product owners to ensure clear alignment on technical objectives
  • Communicate technical concepts effectively across business and engineering stakeholders

Requirements:

  • 8–10+ years of Systems Analyst experience supporting large‑scale software initiatives
  • Strong understanding of REST APIs, data models, and integration patterns
  • Experience working in Agile environments
  • Proficiency with documentation tools, requirements modeling, and acceptance criteria development
  • Familiarity with CI/CD concepts, GitHub, and modern SDLC practices
  • Excellent communication, analytical, and cross‑functional collaboration skills
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field
  • Must be eligible to work in the United States
