Job Description:

This is a senior-level position for a highly experienced Structural Geologist specializing in mining and infrastructure projects. The Principal Structural Geologist will provide strategic technical leadership in structural geology, geohazard assessment, and geological modeling. The role is pivotal in supporting safe, efficient, and future-ready project delivery, aligned with Saudi Arabia’s transformative mining sector growth.

Job Responsibility:

  • Serve as the company's subject matter expert on structural geology
  • Lead advanced structural geology studies, including fault system analysis, lineament mapping, and 3D geological modeling
  • Maintain and develop methodologies and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for structural data collection
  • Provide expert advice to senior management on exploration strategies, project risk assessments, and resource estimation
  • Oversee geohazard assessments, slope stability modeling, and pit wall engineering for mine development and infrastructure projects
  • Provide expert input to technical proposals, stakeholder presentations, and client workshops
  • Mentor and upskill junior geologists
  • Collaborate with geotechnical, geophysical, and engineering teams
  • Support business development through technical differentiation and authoritative client engagement
  • Drive innovation in geological modeling, risk mitigation, and project delivery processes

Requirements:

  • Advanced degree (MSc or PhD) in Geology or related discipline
  • Minimum 15 years of relevant experience in structural geology, with at least 5 years in a senior or principal consulting role
  • Experience in mineral exploration and mining, with significant field and structural modeling experience required
  • Expert-level proficiency with geological and 3D modeling software (e.g., Leapfrog, Surpac, GOCAD, MOVE) and GIS software (e.g., ArcGIS)
  • Proven leadership, project management, and communication skills
  • Ability to deliver strategic technical solutions and support business growth

Nice to have:

  • A postgraduate degree (MSc or PhD) in Structural Geology or a related field is highly desirable
  • Experience in multiple geological terrains and commodities is preferred
