We are looking for a Principal Software Engineer to lead a squad within Fidelity Ireland’s Asset Management Technology group. You will be a hands-on developer contributing to building a suite of Micro-Services and UIs. Our team is responsible for designing & implementing technical solutions for the Fidelity Asset Management Solutions division which provides retirement and college saving solutions. In this role, you will be contributing to the development of quality software components that are used by Portfolio Analysts and Managers in managing over $950 Billion assets under management held in Retirement & College Savings solutions. You will have chance to engage, shape and contribute to our suite of Micro-Services and UIs that provides building, modeling and trading capabilities for these solutions. Job Responsibility:
Lead a squad within Fidelity Ireland’s Asset Management Technology group

Requirements:
Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology or equivalent
Minimum of 10 years of design & development experience
Experience in Java, SpringBoot, RESTful services and Angular or similar
DevOps enablers such as Maven and Jenkins
Experience in Oracle SQL & PLSQL
Ability to manage priorities effectively across multiple workstreams
Ability to triage, complete root cause analysis, and make sound decisions in complex or time‑sensitive situations
Ability to promote and set standards in applying practices across the squad in areas such as Unit testing, Automation, DevOps, CI/CD, design, and code reviews
Ability to work with a variety of individuals and groups, both in person and virtually, in a constructive and collaborative manner and build and maintain effective relationships
Nice to have:
Karate, Playwright, Storybook or similar testing frameworks
Exposure to Amazon Web Services (AWS) or Kubernetes
Messaging frameworks such as Kafka
Investment Management/Business Domain business insight
