We are seeking an experienced Principal Safety Partner to provide strategic leadership and partner with senior leaders to uplift safety, health and environmental performance across our operations. Operating at a senior level, this role will drive enterprise safety initiatives, influence leadership capability, and ensure alignment between business unit priorities and corporate safety strategy. You will play a key role in embedding a strong safety culture, supporting complex operational environments, and delivering continuous improvement outcomes.
Job Responsibility:
Partner with senior leaders to deliver safety, health and environment (SHE) strategies and initiatives
Provide high-level coaching and strategic safety advice across the business
Drive alignment between business unit activities and enterprise safety objectives
Identify improvement opportunities and lead the delivery of innovative safety solutions
Monitor compliance with legislative, regulatory and company requirements
Lead assurance activities and contribute to continuous improvement in safety systems and processes
Influence and support leadership capability to foster a high-performance, safety-focused culture
Collaborate with corporate and operational stakeholders to deliver enterprise-wide outcomes
Requirements:
Has significant experience in safety management within heavy industry or complex operational environments
Brings strong knowledge of safety legislation, standards, and regulatory compliance
Demonstrates the ability to influence and coach senior leaders
Has a proven track record in driving safety improvements and managing change
Possesses strong analytical, problem-solving and project management skills
Is a confident communicator with the ability to engage and influence a broad range of stakeholders
Holds tertiary or professional qualifications in a safety-related discipline (preferred)
Holds a current driver's licence and is willing to travel regularly (every 3rd week)
