SEG supports the US Navy and Missile Defense Agency (MDA) by performing trade studies, design prototyping, and analysis of radars, EO/IR sensors, seeker systems, electronic warfare systems, and weapon systems.
Job Responsibility:
Support the development and execution of radar and/or RF seeker simulations, add new capabilities to existing simulations, and deliver the simulations to both support internal analysis and as inclusion in deliverable simulations to our government customers and end-users.
Understanding customer requirements, demonstrating the capability to customers and stakeholders, and potentially leading a team of engineers and software developers to design and develop these simulation solutions.
Prioritize new simulation tool capabilities while maintaining existing ones.
Requirements:
Must be a US citizen.
U.S. Department of Defense issued Secret clearance
Bachelor of Science degree in a technical discipline such as Engineering, Physics, or Mathematics.
Twenty (20) years of experience in the design of, or analysis of sensor systems, seekers, electronic warfare systems, or weapon systems.
Radar Signal processing (Scripting/Coding/Simulating) experience.
Strong people skills and technical leadership experience are a must.
MATLAB and/or Python proficiency
Nice to have:
Detailed experience modeling radar systems (SPY/TPY) that support MDA and Navy missions, (Direct experience with Aegis system is desired)
Experience performing radar system modeling, performance prediction, and data analysis
Experience in working with MDA/NAVY/AEGIS ecosystem and engaging with external stakeholders
Experience with Digital Signal Processing and/or Digital Beam Forming
Experience in Aegis SPY-1, MMSP/BSP is highly desired
Familiarity with data extraction and analysis for the Aegis SPY-1 Radar
Familiarity with electronic attack and protection techniques
Radar engineering analysis, including the use of Blake charts
Strong understanding of RF propagation
Strong MATLAB and/or Python skills
Graduate-level coursework and/or hands-on project experience in radar systems and radar signal processing
Prior experience with sensor HW design, signal processing, tracking algorithms, and/or resource management
Experience in development of simulation tools and test tools for sensor analysis
