Job Description:

The Principal Quality Engineer role involves leading quality strategy and standards across enterprise-level programs. Candidates should have a strong background in quality engineering, test automation, and agile methodologies, with at least 5 years of experience. A bachelor's degree in Informatics or a related field is required. The position offers flexibility in work style and opportunities for professional development.

Job Responsibility:

  • Act as a Quality Advocate across missions and programmes, ensuring quality is embedded throughout the delivery lifecycle
  • Provide thought leadership in quality engineering, test automation, and agile best practices
  • Lead the automation strategy and roadmap across teams, ensuring scalability and maintainability
  • Assess the current state of quality across multiple teams or missions and identify gaps, risks, and improvement opportunities
  • Drive automation metrics and reporting to measure effectiveness and ROI
  • Guide teams on automation coverage, tooling selection, and test pyramid strategy
  • Mentor and guide QE and SDET team members where required

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Informatics/ or similar field of study/or equivalent working experience is required
  • Minimum 5 years demonstrable experience in a similar role is required
  • Strong understanding of Agile delivery methodologies (Scrum)
  • Strong experience in Quality Engineering, test automation, and agile delivery
  • Proven experience leading or contributing to enterprise-scale programmes
  • Hands-on knowledge of test automation frameworks (UI, API and backend), CI/CD pipelines, and quality metrics.
  • Proficiency in modern programming/scripting languages used for test automation
  • Ability to work with a high degree of autonomy and ownership
  • Strong stakeholder management and communication skills
  • Self-driven and proactive, with a mindset of continuous improvement
  • Confident in making recommendations and driving them to completion
  • Balanced technical depth and strategic thinking
  • Proven track record in defect management and SLA-driven environments.
  • Excellent English verbal and written skills

  • Provide global technical leadership in the development and implementation of quality and regulatory compliance strategies and best practices to ensure the manufacturing and distribution of products comply with applicable regulatory requirements.
  • Lead cross-functional collaboration with Procurement, R&D/Operations, Technical Quality, and Logistics teams to address quality issues at contract manufacturers and suppliers.
  • Establish and administer the supplier audit program for quality/regulatory compliance.
  • Maintain the Approved Supplier List (ASL).
  • Support the Global Supplier Review Board, including providing metrics for supplier assessments.
  • Actively engage with suppliers in the event of a supplier issue requiring corrective action or upcoming external audits.
  • Provide guidance as needed for corrective action required because of assessment findings.
  • Execute supplier audits in accordance with approved schedules.
  • Support documentation of supplier changes through the supplier notification, change management, QNC, or CAPA processes.
