Principal Project Controls Lead

• Effectively manage the Infrastructure cost control team ensuring regular liaison with the Area Manager Infrastructure and key internal and external stakeholders
• Provide leadership in promoting, demonstrating and being a role model for company core values, whilst providing guidance and support to cost control in the delivery of their specific responsibilities
• Supporting the implementation of project cost management programmes that provide an accurate reflection of project performance at a project and programme level
• Ensuring that cost reports are delivered on time and within the guidelines of the project controls processes and procedures
• Developing project budgets in accordance with project estimate and cost breakdown structure (CBS)
• Issuing project change orders / variations in accordance with engineering and construction change notifications
• Management of scheduling / planning resources
• Understand the engineering scope of the assigned project(s) to ensure that it matches with the approved project WBS in accordance with the Coding Structure
• Miscellaneous and ad-hoc Project Control related activities as required by the Area Manager Infrastructure

• Relevant degree in Business or Engineering or demonstrable industry experience
• Demonstrate financial and commercial awareness
• Significant experience in cost control, ideally within the mining, resources or construction project industry, along with experience at a senior level or in a leadership role
• Solid technical, analytical and problem-solving skills
• Ability to see tasks through to completion
• Excellent communication skills
• Able to prioritise workload amongst competing demands

Experience with Pronto ERP is highly regarded
