The Principal Program Manager supports a functional group by providing strategic program management for organizational initiatives that impact multiple teams. It oversees the development and implementation of programs and projects that align with strategic goals across the organization, working across multiple levels of management to ensure procurement initiatives, priorities, and outcomes are aligned with business objectives. The Principal Program Manager coordinates cross-functional teams to deliver new programs or enhance existing ones, ensuring alignment, transparency, and collaboration. It requires a solid understanding of financial planning, risk mitigation, and execution to effectively manage program budgets, timelines, dependencies, and delivery outcomes. Success is measured by effective program execution, proactive risk management, financial discipline, and the ability to drive continuous improvements in program delivery. The work influences organizational effectiveness and supports the achievement of strategic objectives for internal stakeholders and customers.
Job Responsibility:
Develop program and project strategies with execution plans to guide successful delivery of organizational initiatives
Create and manage project and cross-functional teams to support programs within and across functional groups
Identify and address cross-project dependencies in collaboration with other program managers and leadership
Manage program changes, evaluate risks, and assess impacts to maintain program delivery and quality
Contribute improvements and best practices based on program insights to enhance overall program management
Also responsible for other duties/projects as assigned by business management as needed
Requirements:
Bachelor's Degree plus 7 years of related work experience OR Advanced degree with 5 years of related experience
Acceptable areas of study include Business, Finance, Economics, Sales or related field
7-10 years Experience in organizational programs, project management or related area
2-4 years Supervisory or program management experience
