The Lounge by Zalando Demand Tech team owns services dedicated to delivering “The Right Message to The Right People at The Right Time” on a global scale. We oversee the process of bringing exciting offers to over a million users daily through sophisticated, data-driven marketing automation. We are growing rapidly and are searching for a Principal Product Manager with a strategic and entrepreneurial mindset, capable of building and iterating on the next generation of our marketing communication platform. If you are passionate about developing automated solutions that combine high-volume data pipelines, low-latency communications, and deep customer insights, we want to hear from you! As part of a relatively new team, you will tackle complex problems in high-volume user interactions (e.g., multi-channel campaigns, real-time push notifications), ensuring maximum impact through personalization and continuous optimization. The services you develop will become the cornerstone for managing communications with Lounge by Zalando users across various countries—ultimately driving engagement, conversion, and growth.

Job Responsibility:

  • Co-Author & Execute Product Strategy: Collaborate on the product roadmap, propose innovative automation strategies, and pivot swiftly based on data-driven insights
  • Drive Analytical Insights & Experimentation: Gather and analyze both qualitative and quantitative data, establish clear KPIs (CTR, CPA, ROI), and foster a culture of A/B testing and iterative improvements
  • Own the Product Backlog: Partner with engineering to prioritize features aligned with business goals, ensuring technical requirements (APIs, microservices) are met for scalable marketing integrations
  • Stakeholder Management & Communication: Coordinate with marketing, design, and data science teams to deliver seamless multi-channel campaigns, while regularly updating all stakeholders on progress and outcomes
  • Promote AI-Driven Personalization: Leverage AI/ML for hyper-personalized messaging, dynamic segmentation, and automated page optimization, continuously refining strategies based on real-time user behavior
  • Lead & Mentor: Guide junior and mid-level team members through structured coaching and feedback, cultivating a resilient, innovative, and growth-oriented team culture
