We are the key Azure Artificial Intelligence (AI) Services-Azure AI Speech Services—dedicated to seamlessly integrating Speech AI into everyday experiences. We operate with an urgency of responsibility and ethics, a customer-first mindset, and a drive to advance Microsoft’s AI platform and business. Our work spans cutting-edge technologies including speech recognition, speech and video translation, text-to-speech (TTS), TTS avatars. These capabilities power a wide range of Microsoft and partner products—from agentic applications and software as a service (SaaS) solutions like Office, Teams, and Dynamics, to Azure-connected devices, internet of things (IoT), and ambient computing. We’re hiring a Principal Product Manager to lead Voice Live Agent, a new Azure AI Speech application programming interface (API) designed for building real-time, voice-enabled AI agents in the Agentic AI era.

Job Responsibility:

  • Define and drive product vision and strategy across a full stack of collaborators—from customers to engineers and researchers
  • Partner closely with engineering to prioritize the roadmap, deliver high-impact features, and solve complex problems with clarity and creativity
  • Translate customer insights and strategic goals into actionable plans that guide engineering execution and product iteration
  • Champion product quality and AI excellence, ensuring our services are responsible, reliable, and delightful to use

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree AND 8+ years experience in product management OR equivalent experience
  • Ability to meet Microsoft, customer and/or government security screening requirements
  • Microsoft Cloud Background Check upon hire/transfer and every two years thereafter
  • Experience managing the full product lifecycle—from concept and design through launch and iteration
  • Experience or deep interest in Speech, Generative AI (GenAI)/LLM/Small Language Models (SLM) or Machine Learning technologies
  • 10+ years of experience in product, with a track record of delivering impactful products
  • Cross-functional collaboration skills, with the ability to influence across engineering, research, and business teams
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with a knack for storytelling and clear articulation of complex ideas
  • High tolerance for ambiguity and a bias for action in dynamic environments
