Job Description:

Our client are a Brisbane based local government entity based in the Brisbane CBD. They are currently seeking a Principal Process Analyst to come in and join their team on a 12 month temp contract with potential for extension.

Job Responsibility:

  • Customer-Centric Design: Lead the creation of finance processes and procedures that prioritize user experience and service excellence
  • Strategic Collaboration: Build strong partnerships across Council divisions to align finance systems with broader organizational goals
  • Process Documentation: Elicit and document finance workflows (Levels 1-4) using BPMN standards within corporate systems
  • Business Transformation: Conduct AS-IS and TO-BE analysis to support the transition to new ways of working during transformation projects
  • Performance Management: Develop and monitor KPIs for finance processes to ensure they meet Council’s strategic and service objectives
  • Knowledge & Training: Coordinate knowledge management and develop training materials to ensure staff proficiency in finance systems
  • Continuous Improvement & QA: Lead process improvement initiatives and conduct quality assurance reviews to ensure compliance and internal control

Requirements:

  • Comprehensive experience in finance related activities including the end-to-end finance processes
  • Demonstrated experience in Process mapping and documentation leveraging Process Management Best Practice
  • Demonstrated experience to provide sound finance process and systems advice, managing highly sensitive and confidential information
  • Experience with process improvement methodologies (e.g., Lean, Six Sigma)
  • Tertiary qualifications in Accounting or Finance
